This was the result of Year 10's hard work. The pavillion was transformed into a dance and speed dating hall. The residents of the local care home had a wonderful time, dancing with some of our Year 10 students. As you can see from the photographs, for many, it was a fantastic opportunity to to socialise with one another and meet new people. The Retro Attraction speed dating involved students playing games such as draughts, Tiddlywinks and baggatelle. One room even had some fantastically dressed students, providing memories of clothing styles from years gone by. Well done Mr Parker and the Year 10 teams.
The Drama Studio has been transformed into Emerald City!
Here was the end result of Learning Challenge Week in Emerald City. There was real 'Yellow Brick Road' enticing visitors to have a look around all of the stalls. The goodies on sale were all linked to a 'Wizard of Oz' theme. |
The cinema the Creative Media group had been working on was a massive success. The group had been working hard all week creating trailers, planning scripts, directing and starring in the films they had created.
The staff were given VIP treatment, front row seats, and unlimited popcorn and drinks! Well done on a fantastic Learning Challenge Week. |
